Advantages of Hard Courts

Hard Courts are usually consider as all-weather courts and are low
in maintenance and only require daily care due to inclement weather conditions.

Hard Courts maybe left open all year long, therefore extending the
playing season during favorable weather conditions.

Hard Court general speed of the surface can be adjusted (at time of applying coatings)
To the general speed that the owner wants to achieve. This is done by adding or
sub-tracting the natural sand base.

Hard Courts (concrete or asphalt) can be used for construction,
reconstruction and resurfacing of the following sports court applications:

Re-Construction

On average, an asphalt or concrete sports court can be expected to last approximately 15 to 20 years. However, as courts get older, the cracks tend to worsen exponentially and resurfacing becomes more frequent. If this sounds familiar, you should probably be considering a reconstructed court.

NRSM, INC. offers three types of Re-Construction Process:

Over-lay

Provide a layer 1 to 2 inches of new premium sports asphalt topping over the entire court surface. Recommended with sports courts with good sub-bases and minimal structional cracking.

Petro Matting

Recommended for courts that fiberglass and recoating repairs have not been successful. Petro mat (usually in 12ft rolls) will be applied before the new asphalt is applied. Paving will take place with either 1 1/2 to 2 inches of Premium Sports Asphalt Then full resurfacing and color coating process will take place to put our professional finishing touches to the project.
